Hydrogen — the key to a CO₂-neutral economy.
Hydrogen holds enormous energy potential and isn't only found in water — it's locked in industrial wastewater, slurry, ammonia and gases. Graforce's plasma reactors extract it at lower cost and higher yield than conventional methods.
Low Carbon & Green Hydrogen
Bound tighter in methane than in water — and cheaper to release
Hydrogen is more tightly bound in water than in other chemical compounds such as methane or ammonia. That's why Graforce's methane pyrolyzers require much less energy than conventional electrolysis processes.
The marketable, modular systems enable the production of CO₂-free and CO₂-negative hydrogen, thus making a significant contribution to the decarbonization of the economy — with green hydrogen additionally available via biomethane feedstock.

Case Study
Commissioned and running: RAG Austria AG
Graforce has successfully built and commissioned a methane pyrolysis plant at RAG Austria AG. The facility is designed to produce approximately 50 kg of hydrogen and 150 kg of solid carbon per hour from 200 kg of natural gas or biomethane.

Plant Configuration
Two containers, three reactor modules, one integrated system
The plant comprises two containers with three 200 kW plasmalyzer modules, a filter for separating hydrogen and solid carbon, a carbon filling plant, and an H₂ compressor with a storage bank for the H₂ CHP. The hydrogen can be used for emission-free electricity and heat generation or stored underground. High-purity carbon is a valuable raw material for steel, concrete, asphalt, electrodes and soil improvement.

Carbon Capture Utilization (CCU)
As the CO₂ is bound in products long-term, this is the first market-ready alternative to Carbon Capture Storage
Green hydrogen from residual materials significantly contributes to the circular economy, and can even reduce CO₂ in the atmosphere when paired with biogas feedstock. Graforce thus offers a marketable alternative to the controversial underground storage of CO₂ — turning residual materials into recyclables instead.
